San Miguel County is one of the most desirable locations to own real estate in southwest Colorado. • The county offers a unique blend of political views. For many years, San Miguel County was a national bellwether, voting for the winner of every U.S. Presidential election from 1912 to 1984. Over the past four decades, the county has become more Democratic, mainly due to the emergence of the Telluride Ski Resort and an influx of liberal-minded voters.
