Summit County real estate has long been sought after since the region was considered for a Winter Olympics in the 1970's. Less than 90 miles from Denver, Summit County is chock-full of entertainment opportunities all year round – from exceptional golf, hiking, biking, and whitewater rafting during the summer months to skiing and snowboarding at some of the world's best ski resorts all winter. With a fantastic lifestyle and tremendous homes and condos available on the real estate market, it's no wonder everyone wants to live here. But what part of Summit County is best for you? Should you purchase a ski condo just steps from the slopes at Breckenridge? Or is a sprawling mountain ranch deep in the Rockies more your speed? In this blog post, we investigate all the different parts of Summit County real estate and highlight all the residential choices – and there are a lot of them! Let's dig in to this Summit County real estate guide we have assembled for you.

Copper Mountain Real Estate

Copper Mountain is a skier's paradise. With over 2,465 skiable acres, the sprawling ski resort is the largest ski area in Summit County. Most homes and condominiums for sale at Copper Mountain are within walking distance of the lifts. The well-appointed community has various homes and condos for sale. Ski apartments of all shapes and sizes are just a short distance from the lifts, and larger private residences with ski-in and ski-out access are a little further from the slopes.

Summit County real estate at Copper Mountain provides a great place to live for those who enjoy endless skiing and a relaxed atmosphere. The resort comprises three separate ski villages – East Village, Copper Village (or Center Village), and West Village. Two- and three-bedroom ski condos are the most common dwellings, especially in Copper Village. Apartments and townhouses here are very affordable, considering the proximity to the slopes. Most condos with three or fewer bedrooms sell for less than $1 million, with many for less than $700,000.

Another attractive real estate opportunity in Copper Mountain is larger private residences and townhouses. The three base areas have luxury mansions, some with ski-in and ski-out.
