Lucas fell in love with the mountain lifestyle as a young man. His grandfather took him and the cousins on day ski trips to Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, and he was hooked. So, after earning his bachelor's degree in 2006 at the University of Connecticut, he headed west to stake a claim in Colorado.
