Derek Gamburg, a 24-year Summit County resident and 17-year licensed real estate broker, has been named managing broker for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colorado Properties’
Summit County Office.
Born and raised in Paoli, Pennsylvania, Derek Gamburg moved to Colorado in 1994 to attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in speech communications with minors in business and psychology. After graduation, he moved to Summit County in 1997 “to spend a winter or two skiing.”
Now entering his 24
th winter, Gamburg’s start in real estate began when a friend asked if he would help out a broker with mailers on the weekends. After a couple weeks in the office and experiencing Gamburg’s enthusiasm and attention to detail, the broker handed Gamburg a check and told him to come back after he earned his real estate license. “I have never looked back,” said Gamburg. “Having the opportunity day in and day out to work with buyers and sellers and have them realize their dream of owning their first, second, third or vacation rental home is really rewarding. I do my best to make this as fun for them as it is for me,” he added.
“Derek has proven to be a true leader and role model,” said Michael Slevin, president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colorado Properties. “He embodies our welcoming and supportive culture and high level of client service and has taken these to the next level in Summit County,” Slevin added.
“I am excited to grow Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colorado Properties’ presence in Summit County,” said Gamburg. “Since joining the office, I have experienced an unparalleled level of broker support, technology training and lead generation services that help match buyers and sellers, creating win-win opportunities for everyone,” Gamburg added.
Outside the real estate arena, Gamburg enjoys archery, fly fishing, Nordic and backcountry skiing, scuba diving, and traveling. He can be reached at 970-333-0946 or derek@bhhssummit.com
