Frank McKibben moved to the Vail area in 1976 with his wife Ellen and started his real estate career shortly thereafter. In 1985 Frank and Ellen started Vail Valley Real Estate Brokers in Vail Village, specializing in both real estate sales and property management. After 23 years in that location, they sold the real estate sales portion of Vail Valley Real Estate Brokers to Prudential Colorado Properties, now Berkshire Hathaway. The property management business was moved to a more centralized location in Avon, CO and Ellen continues to run that business today, ( www.vailreservations.com ). Frank has continued on as a broker for Berkshire Hathaway working from their Lionshead office. There is nothing Frank enjoys more than helping his customers to realize their own dreams in the Vail Valley. His primary areas of real estate practice include resort real estate, property management, and recreational ranches. During his career Frank has had the unique honor of being recognized as Realtor of the Year two times. He also served as a director for the Vail Board of Realtors for 26 years and in 1998 served as President of that organization. Frank and Ellen are longtime residents of East Vail and marvel at how a serendipitous decision to spend a winter ski season in Vail so many years ago, has turned into a lifelong adventure. Their love of this mountain community and the wonderful lifestyle found here has only grown stronger over time.
